About This Role: 

The Production Assistant will assist CNC operators in the fabrication of sheet metal parts.

A day in the life: 

  • Carry materials and tools to job sites and help set up work areas

  • Assist CNC operators with sheet metal for manufacture of electrical systems

  • Support in fabricating sheet metal parts using various tools and machinery

  • Help with assembling and installing other metal components

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring adherence to safety standards

  • Follow direction from the production manager to complete tasks on time

  • This role may have the opportunity to eventually grow into CNC Operator position over time. 

You will thrive in this role if: 

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, or sheet metal work is a plus but not required

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

  • Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and equipment

  • Must be detail driven

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • High-level analytical ability and decision making

  • Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs

  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily

  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back

  • Knowledge of materials used in metal components and structure fabrication

  • Minimum High School graduate or GED

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in metal fabrication manufacturing and/ or quality inspection roles

  • Experience in modular building construction, standalone metal structures, and electrical enclosures

  • This position is designated a safety sensitive position and/or is located in a safety sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required

  • Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $17 - $20/hr. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
